Recycling

You can send used neoprene to many companies who in turn will turn it into something new. There are companies or groups that take donated items and recycle them into laptop bags, messenger bags, bicycle gear and other items. In addition to wetsuits, they accept bicycle tires for reuse, and they have many retail locations where environmentally conscious people can drop off their donated materials.

A California company has begun making yoga mats from 100% recycled wetsuits. The mats are made of closed-cell neoprene and are designed to provide comfort and excellent grip in wet or dry conditions.
